Business and School Engagement Manager

Beacon Foundation seeks to better support young people to successfully transition from education to meaningful employment. We do this by bringing together business, industry, schools and the wider community to build real life education experiences. These experiences support young people to be ready for the future world of work.

We are seeking a full‑time dynamic and high performing Business and School Engagement Manager to manage community engagement and event coordination across North West Tasmania for the purpose of improving educational outcomes and career transitions for young people.

  • Can you engage and connect multiple stakeholders across industry and education?
  • Do you have an established industry network that can support Beacon’s vision?
  • Are you highly organised with well-developed administrative and event management skills?
  • Can you inspire and influence positive outcomes within industry, school and communities?
  • Do you have a well-developed understanding of the Australian education system?
  • Are you committed to effecting real change and making a positive difference in the lives of young people?

This position is for an initial 12 months and is full-time (0.8 FTE will be considered – please note this preference in your application). It is based in Burnie (with some flexibility) and requires regular car travel throughout the region.

Salary packaging – As Beacon Foundation is a Public Benevolent Institution (PBI), salary packaging is available.  Salary packaging enables you to reduce the amount of income tax you pay and therefore increases your take-home pay.  Packaging of up to $18,550 per annum (1 April – 31 March) for General Living and meal and Entertainment Expenses is available from your pre-tax income.
