Hello from Switch Tasmania and our NEW Executive Officer - ALI UREN!
It is with a lot of excitement, that I formally commence as Executive Officer of Switch Tasmania as of the 1st July 2021.
The last month has been focused on our handover and I would like to say a big
THANK YOU to Jodhi Gough, for being generous and thorough in time and knowledge to ensure success in the role and for Switch and our business community.
I come to the Switch role with over 15 years in the business and career innovation space and look forward to continuing to work with community to build talent and confidence within the digital skills space.
A focus moving forward will also be continuing to deliver new ways in making quality connections with other business across the North-West, so please keep across these events over the coming 18 months.
These events will involve new ways to access some new insights, while having the conversations that lead to opportunities, that you cannot get sitting on the couch or working from the home office.
It took over six years to finally make the move to Tasmania and after looking for suitable property across the State, the decision was made to make our home in North West Tasmania.
After selling our farm in Barossa, South Australia, late 2020 we moved ourselves and some belongings (whatever could fit into two cars) to Devonport. The move was hard fought in a pandemic but we are very excited to be part of the community and are confident it was a great move.
Over the coming 12+ months, Switch Tasmania will be communicating to you how we will be able to service your small business in the North West.
I hope to meet you all at an upcoming Switch Event here on the North West and of course invite you to reach out and introduce yourself to me. Drop by the office at 3 Gollan Street, Ulverstone (Tasmania) and give us a "Hello!".
There are many opportunities to build and share the talent that exist across the North West and I look forward to working with you all to make it happen.
We look forward to hearing from you!
