In supporting Partnership from Cradle Coast Authority, and funding from the Department of State Growth, The Seedlab Tasmania “Sisters Cradle Coast Program” is to commence in the New Year – inspiring entrepreneurial Women statewide.
Led by Professor Robyn Eversole: Director of the RegionxLink regional social impact program in Swinburne University of Technology Centre for Social Impact (CSI) with Netty Schrammeyer as project manager, this vibrant group of Tasmanian Women, also comprises of Seedlab Tasmania’s Dr Hazel MacTavish-West and Amanda Hinds, Deanna Hutchinson and Sheree Vertigan AM from Cradle Coast Authority, as well as our own Switch Tasmania Executive Officer Ali Uren.
This program will build on the success of Seedlab Tasmania, supporting over 100 Start-Up Tasmanian agri-food & tourism businesses over the last 2 years – 15 based in the North-West.
The program will provide Inspirational Workshops throughout 2022 in the North-West, including King Island, to inspire, inform and connect women who are passionate about agri-food, with the tools to help them develop their ideas, know where to start, and support them to build diverse businesses.
Three Seedlab Tasmania Bootcamp programs will enable around 100 women to dig deeper, grow their confidence, and flourish, fostering a supportive community of women.
The program has been awarded a grant of $179,400 under the Tasmanian Government’s Supporting Women to Succeed Grants Program 2021. The project will focus on nine council areas of West and North-West Tasmania.
Registrations of interest in participating will shortly open. For more information contact is at Switch Tasmania (03) 6408 7005 or visit our website www.switchtasmania.com.au or visit Seedlab Tasmania www.seedlabtasmania.com.au
